Position Summary
As a faculty member, this person is expected to have high professional and ethical standards and to be able to perform as an excellent teacher, researcher and service provider.
A person in this position is responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in business analytics, enterprise systems, security, data management and additional courses across the information systems curriculum (e.
g., project management, cloud technology, systems analysis, artificial intelligence, networking). The Information Systems department offers an Information Systems major and minor and a Business Analytics major and minor.
This person is also responsible for engaging in high-quality research, consistent with AACSB international accreditation standards and departmental expectations, and providing service at the department, college, and university levels.
Required Qualifications
Required qualifications include an earned Ph.D. (or equivalent) from an accredited university in MIS, IS, CIS or a closely related field;
ABD will be considered. Degree must be earned by the personnel review held in the spring of the first year.
Preferred Qualifications
Evidence of effective teaching and research published in referred journals and / or presented at professional meetings. Additional areas of interest and expertise include business telecommunications / networking, security, data management, enterprise systems, cloud technology and / or data analytics.
A RHIA certification will be considered positively.
