Senior Manager of Plant Accounting

Collaborate with key team members to collect and analyze data regarding the company’s operational costs and provide recommendations to reduce expenses and maximize profit.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities :

• Collaborates extensively with VP of Operations and Corporate Controller of Car Care and functional counterparts at Recochem and Prestone corporate.
• Collect and analyze data about the company’s operational costs.
• Update bill of materials for manufactured goods to reflect changes in accounting policies.
• Develop and analyze cost standards.
• Carry out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis.
• Establish costs of business processes such as administration, labor, inbound freight, etc.
• Perform account reconciliations & eliminate use of top side entries.
• Recommend changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit.
• Advise executives and upper management on appropriate costing based on financial data.
• Take ownership of report generation for inventory, cost of goods, and other related accounts.
• Support operations and finance team during the creation of the annual operating plan.
• Generate proforma financials adjusted for changes in accounting policies.
• Develop reports & KPIs around bottling, blending, quality control, packaging, and warehousing.
• Recommend and help operations implement internal controls.
• Support the company as it transitions to a new accounting system and warehouse.

Required Skill / Abilities :

• 6-10 years relevant experience and degree in accounting.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is required.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Familiarity with Power Query / Power BI is a plus.
• Experience with D365 is a plus.
• Enjoys project work, building things from scratch and is not opposed to doing repetitive tasks.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work : This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Additional work time may be required on an as-needed basis.

Pay : $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
