Commercial HVAC Installation Technician

Our Service Department is looking for a service technician to join our small projects / installation team. You will have the opportunity to work and learn within a team structure to improve your technical and customer service skills.

Your job scope will include the following responsibilities.

• Read and understand system blueprints, specifications, and performance data to determine configuration of system components such as compressors, motors, pumps, fans, switches, controls, ducts, or pipes.
• Responsible for installing products and equipment (such as boilers, chillers, split systems, exhaust fans, packaged units, furnaces, make-up air units, etc.

on assigned projects, performing equipment start-ups, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Work within a composite team of Service Technicians, Plumbers, and Sheetmetal Workers to complete all tasks associated with equipment replacements and retrofits.
• Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customer locations.
• Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, and gathering materials.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, team members, account managers, and customers to ensure projects are meeting schedule requirements.
• Complete pre-task safety plans and perform all work with a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications :

• Preferably a graduate of a certified technical school and -years or more experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess applicable certifications, licenses, and valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers.
