Fire Alarm Design Manager

You will provide technical leadership of the design function, including CAD, management of files, training and interpretation of external codes, regulations, and specifications.

You will organize leaders to assess learning and training needs, create project scopes, and develop content. Regularly meet with leaders to deliver status updates and resolve any issues.

You will be a self-directed team leader who generally works fully autonomously with assigned Project Managers.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Developing and maintaining engineering & design standards, policies, and procedures
  • Design fire alarm systems and sprinkler systems that comply with all applicable codes and regulations
  • Provide technical assistance and support to customers, personnel, and vendors
  • Facilitate and promote success though the design phase of projects
  • Oversee Quality Control of design team outputs
  • Analyze and resolve system performance issues

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience in design management and leadership, equal amount or more in design experience
  • Degree in Fire Protection, Engineering, or a related field preferred, not required
  • NICET Certification (or the ability to obtain soon)
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
