Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING :
You are at the heart of the hotel! As a Housekeeping Houseperson you will take care of our guests by assisting your fellow Room Attendant colleagues by replenishing all Housekeeping supplies on the floors.
You are happiest when you are helping others and enjoy working in a job where you are constantly on the move and accomplishing tasks - and it just so happens you’ll be doing just that in an award-winning hotel.
- This shift's hours are from 6 pm - 2 am.
- Main responsibility will be to stock all of the closets with linen and supplies.
- Delivering various items quickly and efficiently requested by guests such as additional amenities, towels, rollaway beds, microwaves and more.
- Ensure the laundry chute area is clear and return all empty laundry bins to the chute room
- Utilizing radios to communicate with colleagues to ensure task completion and guest satisfaction.
- Assisting other Housekeeping Colleagues including Public Area Attendants during their shifts as needed or requested.
- Assist stripping rooms for room attendants when needed.
- Maintain hallway floors by vacuuming, dusting, wiping windows, elevator tracks, vents, and baseboards.
- Completing inventory assignments
- Providing warm and friendly service for both internal or external guests
- Participating in any scheduled training and development programs
- Following all safety rules, emergency procedures and fire prevention regulations.
- Reporting maintenance items
- Returning all lost and found articles to Risk Management
- Following all hotel and departmental policies and procedures and service standards
- Any other tasks that may be assigned
Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following :
- Constant standing, walking and reaching throughout the shift
- Constant pushing, pulling over 20 pounds
- Occasional bending, kneeling, squatting
- Occasional lifting and carrying over 50 lbs
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Qualifications
YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE :
- Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming
- Detailed oriented and able to handle multiple tasks
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
