ASSISTANT NURSE MANAGER (RN) - UWMC - MONTLAKE HEART INSTITUTE
UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3) to join the UW Medicine Heart Institute team.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION :
The Heart Institute at UW Medical Center Montlake & SLU provides a full range of heart healthcare and prevention services including general cardiology, cardiac diagnostic imaging tests and procedures, cardiac surgery, arrhythmia management and electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart services, advanced heart failure management, heart transplant and ventricular assist devices (VADs), adult congenital heart disease management, cardiac psychiatry, cardiovascular genetics and other advanced services.
WORK SCHEDULE :
100% day shift. Flexible scheduling with an option for four 10-hour shifts and 1 day of work-from-home after probation period.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Share in the responsibility for leadership functions for this unit including staff evaluations, scheduling, orientation and educational programs, and quality improvement activities
- Collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team consisting of cardiologists, surgeons, interventionalists, other sub-specialty nurses, advanced practice providers, research team, and administrative staff to coordinate, support, and optimize the medical care of our complex patient population.
- Manage patient care through appropriate delegation, supervision, and resource management, including efficient use of own time.
- Demonstrate effective communication with the charge nurse, NM, co-workers, physicians and all members of the interdisciplinary team.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Active WA State or Multi-State RN License by start date.
- Current BLS and ACLS.
- 2 years of outpatient or inpatient Cardiology nursing experience.
