Duration : 12 Months
Location : Clifton New Jersey 07014 (Onsite)
As a Facilities Engineer, you will :
- Managing and driving the modernization and operation of the facility through maintenance projects.
- Typical projects and tasks include transformer replacements, SCADA monitoring, substation operation (up to 26 kV), annual electrical equipment maintenance program, exit sign / emergency light program, arc flash / short circuit / coordination studies, HVAC unit replacements, roofing and road surface replacement, capital infrastructure improvement, other equipment replacement / installation, and associated work to support growing business needs.
- Develop and maintain accurate AutoCAD and spreadsheet documentation of all MEP and other building systems to include the latest updates.
- Serve as technical resource to the maintenance supervisor, trade staff, and other project managers on building utilities and codes.
Assist in various troubleshooting efforts with maintenance staff and internal customers.
- Responsible for managing the cost, schedule, and quality performance requirements of multiple projects through all phases from inception to completion, including evaluation of requirements, estimating, scheduling, budget management, design oversight, construction management, and project close out.
- Coordinating with various internal and external parties, including design consultants, contractors, utility companies, etc.
to prepare for and execute successful projects.
- Executing the preparation of all capital and expense projects, including work orders, work statements and specifications, operating budget, and financial terms / conditions of contracts.
- Responsible for customer satisfaction, maintaining customer communication, and the overall management of customer relationships.
- Development and management of financial forecasts meeting functional organization AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and CIP (Capital Improvement Plan) budgets.
- Understand the company procurement process and methods to seek funding approval to support.
Preferred Additional Skills :
- Facilities certifications (FMP Facilities Management Professional, CFM Certified Facilities Professional, PE Professional Engineer, LEED AP)
- Project management skills coupled with the ability to effectively manage and partner with contractors, vendors, and team members
- Knowledge of applicable laws / regulations, including those mandated by OSHA, ADA, NFPA, NEC, EPS, and local building codes
- Experience working with engineering blueprints, process specifications, and building layouts
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Ability to clearly and succinctly convey information and ideas, including strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to design circuitry and panelboards for lighting, receptacles, HVAC, and other equipment, based on nameplate values, standard industry practices, and code compliance
- Secret required; Top Secret preferred
The ideal candidate will have :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar with 5-10 years of experience.
