Part of Omnicom's Precision Marketing Group, RAPP is comprised of 2,000+ creatives, technologists, strategists, and data and marketing scientists across 15+ global markets.

YOUR ROLE :

This is a high profile and fast paced role within the Data and Technology arms of RAPP and involves managing the full lifecycle development of multiple projects simultaneously with the provision of leadership, direction and supervision to a number of project leaders and system engineers running independent projects and managing system changes.

The type of projects you will be responsible for managing involves the development and implementation of large scale real-time marketing solutions and are highly driven by data and technology innovation.

Another key part of this role will involve being a business and technical liaison with a diverse range of functions with RAPP's client, their agency partners and RAPP 3rd party suppliers.

You will be charged with setting and reviewing objectives and coordinating technology implementation activities across projects along with leaders from the technology group.

In addition, you'll have commercial responsibility for your team and will be expected to provide accurate estimates, and measure these forecasts against actuals.

We are looking for someone who can understand and drive client requirements to ensure RAPP delivers excellent solutions both from a technical and operational perspective, someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and manage the project through to delivery.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Take total technical ownership of assigned client systems and you will assess feasibility and provide technical solutions and estimates for the full range of proposed projects
  • Develop full-scale integrated project plans and associated communications documents and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion and oversee tasks though completion.
  • Manage expectations of clients and project stakeholders / sponsors at multi-levels including C-Suite level, take ownership for driving delivery through, be client facing and build a level of respect and trust with clients.
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals and take fiscal responsibility for assigned projects to ensure profitability.
  • Define and work to statements of work and terms of reference.
  • Set policies and procedures for projects and ensure projects are run according to them.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and assign individual responsibilities and resolve resource conflicts within assigned resources.
  • Facilitate documentation creation such as business requirements, technical architecture, and functional specifications and ensure technology solutions implemented to deliver best in class solutions for our clients.
  • Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements and from this, develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Vendor Management & Tracking - work with 3rd party partners to align on project related costs, tracking of deliverables, and creation of necessary documentation.
  • Comfortable leading and working with client technology teams from project conception to delivery

REQUIRED SKILLS :

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 5+ years relevant experience, tech environment is a must.
  • PMP and / or SCRUM certification beneficial
  • Be able to negotiate, coach, present and troubleshoot all the way through a project.
  • Be agile and able to think on your feet - multi-tasking will comes naturally and have your finger on the pulse at all times across all projects.
  • Must have a positive and client facing attitude.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and best practices for implementation.
  • Solid understanding of and ability to create clear and comprehensive requirements documentation that is easily understood and follows standards such as IEEE 830-1998 including usage of use cases or user stories.
  • Experience with stakeholder interview and requirement capture a must.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies including ASP.NET MVC, MSSQL.
  • Familiarity with front end technologies such as jQuery, Angular / Ember, Foundation or other responsive frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments inclusive of Azure and AWS.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Relational DB technology.
  • Familiarity with ETL processing, tools, and QA of data.
  • Significant experience as a project manager and have experience within all aspects of process development and execution - we're particularly keen to see experience of delivering digital solutions through full-cycle web builds, ETL process experience and QA processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of data mining and database management, campaign management, and Microsoft Project.
  • Be a team leader and manager - with experience of growing and developing a team and helping get the best out of your colleagues.
  • Have an understanding of web / software applications, application architecture, OS, functionality, intra / extranet and client / server architectures.
  • The ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design, digital design, information analysis, business requirements definition, analysis / modelling skills, database / data warehouse design experience is essential (star schema beneficial.)
  • Good understanding of data security issues inclusive of PII storage and use

As such, we have the option to work from home two days per week, if we'd like.

This range is specific to Chicago and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to : skill set, experience and training, certifications;
