This Senior Controls Engineer will be responsible for the specification, design, implementation and final commissioning of all Material Handling Systems sold to Customers.
In this position the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating with Electrical Engineering Team, creating the PLC and HMI programs, coordinating with the on-site Electricians, on-site program testing, implementation and production startup of the entire Material Handling System.
In this position, you will also be required to work closely with the System Architects, Application Engineers, Software Engineers, Project Managers, Subcontractors and Customers.
JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Controls and Electrical ENgineering
- PLC and HMI Programming Creation
- Programming Devices such as Conveyor Systems, MDR, VFDs, Scanners, Printers etc.
- Coordinating with Electrical Engineers-Electrical Design of Panel Layouts and Schematics
- Coordinating with Electrical Engineers-Controls Architecture Design of PLC, I / O, Communication Types
- Lab Testing Programs in Orlando
- Customer Project Implementation On-Site
- Technical Support to Customers and other Internal Team Members
- Professional Communication and Presentation of Tasks Lists Internally and Externally
- Projects Performed On-Time
- Project Performed within Budgets
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- BS in Electrical, Electronic or Controls Engineering OR minimum 7 years of equivalent experience
- Experience with Electrical and Controls Design
- Experience with Rockwell and / or Siemens PLC and HMI Programming
- Experience with Communication Networks (Ethernet, Profinet)
- Experience with Conveyor Systems, MDR, VFDs, Scanners, Scales, etc.
- Ability to Organize and Execute Projects
- Ability to Problem Solve with a Proactive Attitude
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Hands-On Teamwork and Support as Required
- Mechanical Aptitude of Equipment Operation is Preferred
- Ability and Willingness to travel up to an average of 30%
