Stand Up Forklift Operator
Location : Glendale, AZ
Pay : $19 / hour
Hours : Monday to Friday 5a or 9a start times
Our client is a global provider of climate control solutions for the heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration markets.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities :
- Under general supervision, performs manual and clerical duties related to shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products.
- Receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment, and inspects conditions.
- Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to the specifications and the transport method used.
- Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.
- Routes materials, supplies and equipment to inspection or stock areas.
- Competes written and computerized documentation.
- Operate a Stand-Up Forklift efficiently, effectively, and safely.
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Knows typical shipping and receiving procedures and can handle some expectations.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, time management, and basic computer skills.
- Other competencies Basic math, writing and oral communication abilities.
- Reading, writing, and numerical ability.
- Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift or hydraulic jack lift.
Education and Experience Requirements :
- High school or GED diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience
- Current or previous Forklift certification preferred.
- Valid Drivers license with a good driving record.

- Proven ability to work within a team environment and be a self-starter.
- Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully, consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and / or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Must be able to talk, listen, and speak English clearly.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Prolonged periods of standing / walking continuously and performing physical tasks.
