Overview
Walsh is currently seeking a Project Community Relations Manager for our Transportation Division in Cincinnati, OH .
- Under the direct supervision of the Business Group Leader, develop and execute a strategy and program designed to represent the organization favorably;
- increase community knowledge of the projects, milestones, and company in general; communicate with target audiences; write, edit, and distribute community notices;
and work collaboratively with the community to maintain support for projects. Build connection with the communities we work in by seeking out and arranging volunteer events for our staff and craft to attend.
Contribute to the business development efforts for the Great Lakes Water Group and work on building brand recognition for the Company and Business an active role in securing new and maintaining existing client relationships.

Responsibilities
Initiate and maintain regular communications with local communities.
Manages the development and distribution of all public notifications for the group.
Organizes community outreach events.
Interfaces with City Council offices and agency staff to obtain permits and approvals (, concurrences, noise variances, etc.).
Supports public relations efforts, including facilitating media requests, site tours, photography, planning for major project milestones, etc.
Attends / facilitates regular community meetings (if required by project(s)).
Manages community-based programs which support environmental and workforce development.
Manages community giving / donation budget and seeks community service / volunteer opportunities for the group.
Participates in presentation preparation and coaching of the Walsh client pitch team (BGL, Program Manager, Project Executives, Project Managers and Superintendents) in order to respond to client proposals, RFPs, new developments or project opportunities - geared towards preparing project team for public events and presentations.
Participates in Industry events & associations as well as civic and community organizations to establish network and build alliances.
Manages diversity, inclusion, and outreach efforts on the Brent Spence Bridge Project, including oversight of 3rd Party Consultants
Qualifications
5+ years of experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft office
Must maintain the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with business and community leaders
Ability to record and deliver information and explain procedures
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, Public Affairs, etc. preferred
Frequent travel around Indiana. Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky will be required
Attend morning, lunchtime, evening and sometimes occasional weekend events.
