The Fishing Counselor must be a knowledgeable and skilled fishing person who enjoys sharing their love for the sport of fishing.
The fishing counselor works with campers of all ages, and is responsible for implementing the fishing program for Outdoor Explorer campers.
S / he will plan new activities for the fishing curriculum, and maintain a daily fishing log, tracking all fish caught by campers.
The fishing counselor will complete weekly written evaluations on all campers. The fishing counselor may assist in other areas of the waterfront, including rowing, canoeing and kayaking on an as-needed basis.
Prerequisites :
- Completed first year of college (by start of summer)
- Ability to obtain Valid California Fishing License
- ARC Lifeguard Certification (Roughing It will reimburse and may have course available)
47 hrs / week, starting at $790 / week
