Job Title : Private or Group Swim Lesson Instructor
Description : The Y is the nation's largest provider of swim lessons to increase skill and safety in and around water. This position provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes.
Part-time position instructing students in swimming and / or exercise fundamentals. Ensures proper techniques and use of equipment while providing a safe environment for learning.
We teach classes ranging from Parent / Child through Adult.
Requirements :
- Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid, and swim lesson instructor certifications are a plus. We also conduct in-house training.
- Must be able to demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards.
- Ability to instruct and observe participants in proper stroke techniques, to lift equipment, and to lift a small to average size child.
- Must be available to work flexible hours and be comfortable working with all ages and skill levels.
- Minimum age 16.
Pay & Perks : $15-20 / hour, depending on experience.
