Summary
Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services / OR Coordinator / Shift Manager / Designee, the Certified Operation Room Technician / Surgical Tech OR is responsible for assisting the surgeon / obstetrician and Registered Nurse during surgical and obstetrical procedures by performing surgical scrub duties.
Qualifications
Requirements :
- BLS for this Surgical Tech OR role
- Completion of surgical tech school or military OR technician experience
- Call required
- Certification from an approved Operating Room Technician certifying body within 1 year of hire or transfer

Pay range : $25.04 - $33.65 hourly
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for aseptic technique, setting up the required equipment, instrumentation and sterile supplies as needed for their assigned cases;
scrubbing and passing instruments and equipment during surgical procedures; pulling cases as needed, breaking down cases at the end of the procedure, sets up operating room and supplies needed for day / following day’s schedule.
Available for call on an assigned scheduled basis as required by unit need. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education :
Required : Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program.
Preferred : Associate degree.
Experience : Preferred : 1 year.
Preferred : 1 year.
Certifications :
Required : AHA BLS, Surgical Technologist certification.
