Our team has a need for a Signal Processing Engineer who is inspired by a job that challenges you to be proactive, make decisions and generate ideas that will push products above and beyond.

You will guide and oversee the build, test and delivery of advanced high-capacity systems that process modern communications for the U.

S. Government. The successful candidate will be skilled at the integration and maintenance of a product, including debugging issues to root causes.

The successful candidate will also have a solid understanding of concepts related to networking, software architecture, and standard programming practices.

What You Will Do

In this position you will work on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.

Application of advanced technical principles, theories and concepts will be necessary while contributing to the development of new principles and concepts and ensuring proper setup, configuration, and functionality of systems being deployed.

Work will be performed under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments will frequently be self-initiated.

Representation as the organizational spokesperson on projects will be necessary. Advice will be provided to management and customers on product and system solutions to customer’s needs.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws / regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS / SCI Security Clearance is required

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Minimum of 8 years of experience developing in C++ in a Linux environment

Experience with system-level integration and testing, specifically, the integration of advanced, custom processing systems, testbeds, and software

Algorithm development experience in MATLAB or Python

Software development experience implementing signal processing algorithms in C / C++ or other compiled languages.

Experience in SIGINT and / or Digital communications

Experience in developing and delivering an RF product including assessing requirements and prototyping engineering models

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with User Interface development

Knowledge of aircraft systems (Data Link, RTSA EICAS, CDU, FDSA, FMS,, etc.) and their function in the aircraft.

Experience designing, integrating, and testing RF communications systems for launch vehicles or satellites

Experience with signal processing in developing proof-of-concept (PoC) use case scenarios and prototypes

Experience and / or knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP / IP

Experience with or advanced understanding of signal processing

Experience with Configuration Management tools, such as git

Support engineering reviews such as PDRs, CDRs and TRRs

Existing TS / SCI clearance (Active within the last 24 months)

Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
