Requirements :
- Possession of all local and state certifications and qualifications required for a Reading Specialist position in Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of X years of experience working as a Reading Specialist or in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of literacy instruction strategies, assessment tools, and intervention methods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents.
Responsibilities :
- Conducting literacy assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement.
- Developing and implementing individualized reading plans for students based on assessment results.
- Providing targeted intervention and support to struggling readers.
- Collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate literacy instruction into the curriculum.
- Monitoring students' progress and adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Communicating regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on students' reading development.
