We are seeking an analytical and organized Purchasing Manager to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies
- Manage daily purchasing activities and assign tasks
- Oversee supplier relations and negotiate contracts, prices and timelines
- Maintain the supplier database, purchasing records and related documentation
- Coordinate with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs
- Ensure that all procured items meet required quality standards and specifications
- Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets
- Work to continuously improve purchasing systems and processes
- Train new employees in purchasing processes and how to use the purchasing system
Requirements
Who YOU Are
- An excellent communicator with high-level written and verbal skills
- A critical thinker and strong negotiator
- Have exceptional planning and organizational skills
- Able and comfortable with working independently
Qualifications
- Degree in accounting, business administration or a related field
- Experience as a purchasing manager or in a similar position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
- Experience with Sage Software is a plus
