Key Duties :
- Create and Execute Food Safety Programs : Develop and implement robust SQF and HACCP programs to enhance food safety and minimize risks.
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local food safety regulations and standards.
- Documentation Mastery : Keep thorough records of safety protocols, procedures, and compliance checks.
- Hygiene and Safety Monitoring : Oversee factors affecting workplace hygiene, including chemical handling, noise, and lighting.
- Training and Communication : Conduct training sessions, create safety bulletins, and engage with employees to promote a safety-first culture.
- Audit and Inspection : Collaborate with SQF auditors and internal teams to ensure continuous compliance and address safety concerns.
- Stay Current : Keep up with the latest food safety practices and advancements to ensure our facility remains at the forefront of industry standards.
Requirements :
- Educational Background : BS / BA in Food Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Experience : 3-5+ years in food safety management, with hands-on experience in SQF, HACCP, risk management, and food safety compliance.
- Regulatory Knowledge : Deep understanding of food safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Problem-Solving Skills : Proven ability to identify and rectify food safety issues and unsafe practices.
- Communication : Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and influence across all organizational levels.
