We have a direct hire opening for a Customer Service Representative in Tukwila, WA, at a packaging products manufacturer.
This is a 1st shift position.
They specialize in plastic bag production through extrusion processes for many industries, including food production such as seafood, meat, poultry, and bakeries.
In this role, you will :
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers in the sales department, handling inquiries, orders, and complaints.
- Ensure customer needs are met and build strong relationships to maintain client satisfaction.

- Base Salary : $24-$27 / hour
Job Duties of the Customer Service Representative :
- Handle customer inquiries, orders, and complaints promptly and effectively, over the phone and by email
- Proactively identify and address customer needs before they arise
- Use the ERP system to enter customer purchase orders and generate orders for scheduling
- Provide pricing for all customer quotes and orders
- Manage customer requests regarding order status, returns, and complaints
- Scan and file customer purchase orders in the ERP system
- Create documents and reports regarding issues, orders, pricing, and sales
- For food production industry customers, specify FDA and SQF orders when inputting job orders to ensure all requirements are properly noted
- Manage and grow existing customer house accounts
- Participate in the sales process by identifying opportunities for cross-selling or upselling to increase sales and revenue
- Participate in new order meetings to ensure accurate customer order information
- Work directly with sales reps and management to achieve sales goals and provide feedback to improve customer service processes
- Coordinate issue resolution between the customer and internal members in production, shipping, or accounting
- Monitor inventory levels for each customer in the ERP system

Job Requirements of the Customer Service Representative :
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in distribution or manufacturing
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all customer interactions
- Build strong, long-lasting relationships with customers based on trust and satisfaction
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
