Senior Project Manager Job Description :
The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for the overall direction, execution and completion of a singular large-scale project or multiple mid-size projects.
The Senior Project Manager will develop, coordinate, implement, and manage all facets necessary to construct projects on time, within budget, and to the quality specified.
This role provides leadership and serves as the liaison between project team members to promote the interest of both the business and clients in all matters, as well as demonstrate the characteristics of a leader.
Senior Project Manager Responsibilities :
- Ground-up project delivery and successful outcome from pre-construction through closeout
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications
- Participate in the procurement process and develop project budgets and schedules and logistics plan
- Determine appropriate milestones and assign staff qualified to handle the scope and complexity of the project
- Provide leadership and support to the project team. Review and communicate on ASIs, RFIs and material submittals
- Coordinate and conduct required meetings
- Communicate directly with Superintendent and subcontractors concerning project costs, staffing, scheduling, and safety
- Maintain relationships with architects, developers, and subcontractors
- Participate in industry networking events and associations to promote the company and gain insight in industry / market trends
Senior Project Manager Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Business preferred
- 5+ years' experience as a Senior Project Manager within Commerical and Multifamily Construction
- Proficient with relevant construction technology; Procore experience a plus
