What You'll Do
- Prepares complex investment accounting entries and reporting for life insurance subsidiaries, on both a statutory and GAAP basis.
- Analyzes complex investment types (i.e. common stock, private equity, partnership investments, and derivatives) ongoingly.
- Prepares and reviews regulatory, external, and internal reporting for distribution to management, Board of Directors, regulators, and rating agencies.
- Leads and participates on special projects to support new investment opportunities, partnering with asset managers and treasury.
What You'll Have :
- Foundational understanding of accounting principles. Desire to continue to grow understanding of both GAAP and STAT accounting.
- Demonstrated communication and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and on a team to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills to take ownership of project to see through to completion with care and attention to detail.
- Technical skills using various systems accounting system / finance systems and Excel to analyze large amounts of data.
