The SeniorMechanical Engineer will be responsible for mechanicaldesign / packaging electronics. The candidate will be required tomeet with project stake holders on a regular basis to understandtechnical issues and develop solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
Independently develops and implements concepts forrange of significantly complex product issues and engineeringsolutions.
Technically lead and / or execute engineeringprojects and spearhead research and development of new technologiesas appropriate
Problem identification andtroubleshooting a wide range of significantly complex engineeringproblems.
Specify or perform significantly complexengineering analysis.
Interface with internal andexternal customers regarding significantly complex engineeringissues to address customers High Value Problems (HVP) for a rangeof products.
Generate product specifications. Definecoordinate perform and document engineering tests.
Specify and review engineering documentation and engineeringprocesses.
Functional Knowledge
10 years ofexperience with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in MechanicalEngineering or related field.
A minimum of 7 yearsexperience in mechanical engineering and design
Experienced in 3D CAD systems (NX) and Teamcenter ispreferred.
Handson experience with mechanicaldevelopment and design of high voltage products
Experience in analysis testing troubleshooting diagnosing androotcausing electromechanical systems.
Proficient in theuse of MS Excel Word PowerPoint and related software
Youhave good analytical and problemsolving skills with high attentionto detail.
You are a team player and have the abilityand selfmotivation to learn quickly and independently.
You demonstrate strong technical leadership skills and a commitmentto delivering high quality products while adhering to strictdeadlines.

a. Development of wireharness routing designs in 3D which includes ensuring securerouting of harness to corresponding connectors.
b.Development of 2D wire harness drawings conforming with customerrequirements and industrial drafting standards.
c.Design of hardware fixation components such as brackets clips andmounting points using 3D modelling module
d. Review andunderstand device and component technical datasheets.
e.Conduct detailed Study and Analysis for Project Scope MethodologyEstimation and Delivery schedule preparation.

Mechanical :
a. Hydraulic Design : Design of Hydraulicsystems Selection of Hydraulic components and fittings Hydraulicroutings using ProE Wildfire
b. Structural Design : Design of structural members bearings gearing heat transfer andengine related equipment machined parts castings and weldfabrications.
c. Component Design : Design test analysemachined parts castings weld fabrications and other components ofmechanical systems and processes
d. FEA : Performcalculations to analyse structural integrity system loads andfatigue life using thorough knowledge of finite elementanalysis
