POSITION SUMMARY : Requires operation of liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as a forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products.
Responsible for waste, recyclable materials handling and processing, loading and unloading trucks, and distribution / removal of material within the warehouse, production areas and building exterior by performing the following duties personally.

JOB FUNCTIONS :

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Drives gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial trucks.
- Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
- Positions forks or other lifting device under loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
- Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
- Transport and deliver material in between the GC, Logistics and exterior recycling area.
- Before moving material, assures that product is secure on skids.
- Wraps or bands skids for stability.
- Weighs materials or products and records weight for transport.
- Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
- Loads and unloads trucks, distributes and transfers materials into and out of the warehouse.
- Inspect lifts via IAuditor, recharges batteries or replaces liquefied gas tank.
- Performs basic maintenance on forklift as required.
- Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
- Drive Corporate box trucks when prompted

POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS :
Education / Experience :
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) : or 1 to 3 months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Skills / Qualifications :
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Operate Miller Zell’s box trucks and in a safe manor.
- General knowledge and use of IAuditor
- Valid Georgia Drivers License with clean driving record
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- General capabilities in Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Word.
- Must complete the Miller Zell Forklift Certification program and obtain a valid Miller Zell Forklift license before hire.
- General knowledge of Miller Zell’s recycling program.
- Must be an active member of the Miller Zell Recycling.
- MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS : The incumbent must manage stress appropriately; make decisions under pressure; handle multiple priorities, work alone;
work in areas that are confined and / or crowded.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS : The incumbent may be exposed to toxins, chemicals, and extreme temperatures (30degrees F 115 degrees F), dust, fumes, moving mechanical parts, high pitched noises, or gases.
The incumbent will spend approximately 60% of their time indoors.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel;
reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move 50 pounds.
