Under supervision, performs and records all sonographic procedures and assists with some specialty procedures in accordance with established departmental guidelines and protocols.
Operates various types of ultrasound equipment, transducers, and recording devices. Recognizes normal and pathological conditions and modifies the exam accordingly to ensure complete and accurate high quality information is obtained.
Prepares and positions patient for procedure by using established Ultrasound protocols to achieve the highest quality image.
Reviews, verifies and evaluates images to ensure excellent image quality. Trouble shoots and resolves ultrasound related PACS issues.
Participates in performance improvement projects within the department. Floats within department as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program with an emphasis in Vascular Technology.
RVT by the ARDMS or RVS by the CCI.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date,
Recent experience in a similar role and setting.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated strong computer skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- One (1) year experience.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and some overtime, as needed.

Annual Full Pay Range : $114,944 - $142,945 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent : $55.05 - $68.46
