Job Description :
The Group seeks to hire a talented, creative, and motivated individual to assist in laboratory, research, or analytical work under the direction or supervision of scientific personnel.
The technician has a critical role in the fabrication process and ultimate delivery of the prototype systems with a focus on ensuring quality material, parts, and assemblies are delivered to the program teams.
The technician will perform various routine jobs of a skilled or semi-skilled nature under the tutelage of senior technicians.
Some specific job duties are :
- Perform various assembly tasks to electro / optical / mechanical assemblies for US government contracts.
- Perform work per procedures and drawings for the program.
- Some work may be in a cleanroom where gowning up would be required.
- Initially, duties will also include training on facility processes, software, and tools.
- Candidate will be trained in all procedures and protocols relevant to the requirements of the position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Recognized self-motivator that seeks to continuously learn and challenge themselves
- Computer literacy, proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- An excitement for fabricating complex parts that enable programs teams to develop prototype systems that demonstrate technology of national importance
- Mechanically inclined, prior experience with machining or mechanical assembly desired
- Must pass required in-house training certifications
