Job Description :

The Oregon Department of Justice’s (DCS) is seeking a leader with strong interpersonal skills to join the management team as a Field Services Manager (Child Support Manager 1) .

This position shares the responsibility of overseeing and directing frontline managers at child support branches throughout Oregon, ensuring effective supervision and management of staff.

This position is responsible for meeting the objectives and goals of the Department and Oregon Child Support Program, assists in the development of the Field Services budget, and monitors expenditures.

The two Field Services Managers serve as a member of the Division of Child Support Senior Management team and advise the Field Services Chief on program operations and service delivery throughout the state.

Duties assigned include directing and guiding Field Services branch managers to ensure that the work is performed in an equitable manner in accordance with federal and state laws, and Department policy.

Core duties of a Field Services Manager include :

Providing supervision and leadership to Child Support Branch Managers (Child Support Supervisor 2).

Program monitoring and project coordination , which includes branch performance measures, including assistance to implement necessary changes to meet reporting requirements.

Working with the executive team and peer managers to develop, allocate, and monitor the Division and Field Services budget.

This position has the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule based out of any one of our Oregon Child Support Branches across the state (Albany, Bend, Eugene, Gresham, Hillsboro, Medford, Oregon City, Pendleton, Roseburg, or Salem).

As a Field Services Manager, this position will require travel across the state amongst the branch offices.

Required Experience

Five years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR two years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree.

Work experience is based on a 40-hour work week. (Example : 20 hours a week for one year would equal six-months of work experience.)

Have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Finalists must pass a comprehensive employment reference check and fingerprint-based criminal background check. A driver history check will be included for positions requiring state vehicle driving privileges.

Adverse findings will be evaluated to determine eligibility for the position.
