Critical Care Nurse I
Department / Unit : Med / Surg ICU - D3N
Work Shift : Night
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Critical Care Nurse I to join our Progressive Critical Care team at AMC.
This role provides an excellent growth opportunity and offers a hybrid ICU and Progressive Care Unit caring for a high acuity, mixed medical and surgical patient population.
- Implements physician orders, administers medications, and performs treatments and procedures
- Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care
- Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
- Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients
Requirements :
- Graduate of a professional nursing program
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care (preferred, not required)
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of quality concepts and principles
