Overview
Amyx is seeking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to support Product Lead (PdL) MilTech Solutions information and knowledge management requirements at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland.
This position may require some travel (less than 5%) to functional contract sites at both locations and geographically separated units.
This position will support a large IT service program that includes application development, maintenance, administration, and management tasks.
Responsibilities
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the full life-cycle support including development, maintenance, administration, and management and provide a total system perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of hardware and software components for a project, and the overall computing environment and architecture in the DoD.
The Senior Software Engineer will support, maintain, and manage personnel responsible for the using the following technologies in support of customer requirements :
- milSuite (Jive, Media Wiki, WordPress)
- Document Management (Microsoft SharePoint) 6.2 Task 2 Consortium Support Cell
- Project Management (Microsoft Project Server, Corasworks, Primavera)
- 6.3 Task 3 MilTech Support Center and Help Desk
- Single Interface to the Field (Remedy, Liferay)
- Personnel Accountability : MIRARS / Roll Call (.Net, SQL, Mongo and Twilio)
- Instant Messaging / Broadcast Capability (IBM Lotus Sametime)
- Decision Support Tools (Decision Lens, DOORS)
- Fortify
- Enterprise Search and Discovery (ElasticSearch, FAST)
- Business Intelligence (SAP, Microsoft SharePoint Analytics)
- Custom Application Development (, PHP, Java
- Taxonomy (Metalogix)
Qualifications
Required :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or Information Systems, or Engineering, or related scientific or technical discipline and 10 years’ experience in software solutions development and / or network engineering in the DoD domain (tactical and business) OR, 15 years’ experience in software solutions development and / or network engineering in the DoD domain (tactical and business)
- 5 years’ experience with Windows, Unix, Linux, virtualization, routing / switching and databases
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Desired :
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or Information Systems, or Engineering, or related scientific or technical discipline
- In-depth knowledge of the Army and DoD IT policies and governance and be an expert in the constraints our DoD environment puts on implementation of COTS products
- 5 years’ experience with Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) and / or Mongo DB and / or LifeRay 6.0,and / or Jive, and / or MediaWiki, and / or WordPress and other open source systems
