The Opportunity - Senior Project Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to work across the Carbice Corporation organization, managing key technical and product level projects from definition to completion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with R&D, engineering, product management and the customer facing team to define the project, understand the keys to success, document the plan to execute, and follow through to on time completion.

He or she will develop a good working understanding of the products and technology and develop a strong working relationship across the organization.

Responsibilities

This role will develop both over the short and long term. This position will provide opportunity to advance to leadership roles over time.

The role offers an opportunity to learn and become an expert in our product and in product interfaces and solutions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a Senior Executive running large areas of the Carbice business over time.

• Lead company project and program management across the organization.
• This leader will be accountable for creating technical and product project plans working with engineering, product development and marketing.
• This leader will be responsible for understanding the needs of each project, defining the project scope, project objectives, laying out the project actions, activities and documenting the schedule in collaboration with management and company stakeholders.
• This leader will identify resources required to complete the project
• This leader will identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies and monitor risks through the project lifecycle.
• They will be responsible for creating project plans and implement / organize using Microsoft Project or other tools.
• This leader will be responsible for communicating status and tracking all plans to closure.
• This leader will be a critical resource for the engineering team and product management teams provide coordination and control of all company key projects.
• This leader will have a key role in problem solving, bringing in all key company personnel as needed to solve issues and keep projects on track.
• The candidate must have the executive presence working with company leaders to communicate and drive progress.
• The successful candidate will team up with all the key business functions across the front end, engineering and manufacturing.

In addition, this role will :

• Develop positive work relationships with all levels of management and other departments in the company, work collaboratively with corporate functions, HR, legal, finance, etc.
• Educate internally and externally including business partners and new sales channels for Carbice products.
• Help resolve any issues and problems faced by teammates and deal with technical issues to build personal and company trust.
• Communicate with the executive, engineering and the product team about progress as well as the process of project management.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Materials Science or related technical field, BBA, BSBA, or MBA.
• Experience in project management and leadership
• Strong technical skills, able to teach and learn.
• 5 years of experience in project management
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Mastery and experience using Microsoft Project and other project management tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience balancing technical and business aspects of projects to drive value solutions to customers.
• Track record of meeting measurements and KPI’s while completion of projects and programs.
• High motor high energy business leader.
• Ability to roll up sleeves and personally take action.
