Position : Analyst

Education : 4-year degree in food science, biological science or related subject, or equivalent experience and education
Type : Full-time; Temp to Hire!
Schedule : Monday - Friday, Day Shift (ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed)
Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking an Analyst to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description :
- Monitor and advance the safety and quality of programs
- Perform pre-operational and process checks throughout the production and warehousing facilities
- Monitor HACCP critical control points
- Oversee processes to verify compliance with federal, state, and company standards and policies
- Calibrate and maintain equipment
- Schedule and take samples to submit to external laboratories for results (environmental swabs, nutritional analysis, etc.)
- Assist in training employees on food safety, company processes, and FDA Good Manufacturing Practices
- Maintain accurate records and inventory of supplies
- Recommend, champion, and execute program enhancements
Position Requirements :
- Possess a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Basic computer operation skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and email functions
- Knowledge of food safety principles and lab experience in a food processing facility
- Ability to understand and operate basic product testing equipment
- Basic math and research skills
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and attention to detail-skills
- Excellent communication and creative problem-solving skills
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Knowledge of FDA GMPs and HACCP principles
