Job Title : Software Engineer - Android

JOB DESCRIPTION

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our remote team. Candidates must have professional experience building Android applications, along with some experience in other areas such as iOS, web development, or backend services.

This role is cross-functional, initially focusing on an Android project, with opportunities to pivot into other areas after its completion.

The role will evolve based on both the team's needs and the candidate’s interests. Future opportunities could involve further mobile development (Android or iOS), full-stack work in TypeScript (including some DevOps), or some combination of these areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to take on diverse responsibilities and contribute to multiple projects across a wide range of technologies.

Candidates must be based in the U.S., with a preference for those who can work during Eastern Time (ET) hours.

DEVELOPMENT CULTURE

Our tech stack consists of TypeScript, Node, Express, React, Postgres, and Redis. We also build native mobile applications with Swift and Kotlin.

We host and manage our infrastructure on AWS and Heroku. We favor candidates with strong software engineering fundamentals that can learn quickly.

REQUIREMENTS

A successful candidate should possess :

• Several years of industry experience building software in a team environment
• Strong computer science and software engineering fundamentals
• Passion for software and problem solving
• Clear communication skills and ability to work with others
• Experience with our technologies is nice, but not required. It is more important to possess strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn quickly (though Android experience is required for this role).
