About The Position

A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.

Walk or bike across the Walkway Over the Hudson, visit the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum, and explore the Culinary Institute of America.

The position involves handling all cases except for cardiac cases, with a supervision ratio of 1 : 2 for residents. There is a possibility of overtime and on-call duties if interested.

The facility has 25 rooms and uses CERNER for charting. The privileging process takes approximately 90 days. Compensation includes a car rental / mileage stipend of $250 per week and a lodging / housing stipend of $113 daily.

Responsibilities include assisting in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department, managing patients rendered unconscious or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures, performing pre-anesthesia assessments, obtaining and verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with patients, and managing induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
