Our client, a provider of solutions and products in the dairy industry, is seeking a General Manager for their location in the south-central part of Michigan.
The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of a company-owned dairy equipment and consumables dealership.
This role serves as the face of the company in the local market.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for the relationship development with local dairy producers and key stakeholders
- Responsible for the Sales Development effort of capital equipment and aftermarket products
- Support the sale of systems and aftermarket products and programs, as well as, to develop and maintain an active prospect list
- Responsible for managing the integrity, quality and timeliness of all capital installations
- Manage a team of Account Managers and Route Delivery Specialists
- Responsibility for monitoring and managing local inventory, accounts receivable and capital Manage the inventory to protect the inventory value, and to enable the accuracy and ease of order picking and inventory counts
- Maintain the brand of the dealership clean, neat and professional manner / approach

- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel locally (daily) and several times a year as required (management meetings and trainings)
EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND :
- High School degree required, Bachelors degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in supervisory / management role preferred
- Experience in the dairy industry strongly preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office required (Excel, Outlook)
- Must possess and maintain a valid license
