We are hiring for Security Field Engineer to work in the Denver market. This role is a contract to hire, joining a growing team offering continued industry training and a career path.
The Security Field Engineer must be able to program and install security systems (Card Access, CCTV, CATV and Intrusion systems) per manufacturer requirements and engineered drawings.
Job Responsibilities :
Technical Work
Installation of Security Systems (Cameras, Maglocks, and Card Readers).
Installation and troubleshooting of various Access Control components such as panels, readers, strikes, mag locks, etc.
Installation and troubleshooting of IP and analog cameras and NVRs.
CCTV client software installation (PC and mobile) and configuration such as adding / deleting cameras, setting recording schedules, retrieving footage, etc.
Access Control interface experience (adding / deleting credentials, setting door schedules, configuring access levels, etc.)
IP networking (switches and routers, configuring port forwarding, etc.).
Testing of installed equipment (card readers, cameras, alarm points, etc.).
Programming and commissioning of security systems (Cameras, Access Control, Alarms).
Installation and termination of security low voltage cabling (22 / 4, 20 / 4, CAT 5 / E, CAT 6).
Termination of CAT 5 / E and CAT 6.
Dress and route cable from IT closets to device locations (Cameras, Maglocks, Card Readers).
Build out Security equipment racks.
Cable pathway installation (J-hooks, D-rings).
Cable management (dressing and labeling).
Utilize computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; CCTV and access control systems; media storage.
Read and follow blueprints set for installation.
Must be able to teach / train end user (the Customer) on how to use the system upon completion of the installation.
Follow written and oral communication displaying professionalism with colleagues and management.
