Sprint Sr. Specialist (P4, Schooling, Sprint)

We begin with the core belief that disability does not mean an inability, that no child should be written off because of learning challenges.
Fifteen percent of our scholars receive special education support, and we designed and launched the Sprint program to ensure we provide these most vulnerable scholars an outstanding education.
While the identification of scholars demonstrating a need for special education services and execution of the necessary interventions and supports are carried out at the school-level, a supporting Network capability has shared responsibility and accountability for supporting our scholars.
Reporting into the Lead of Sprint, the Sr. Specialist is responsible for various projects and data management work streams that ensure that special education systems function at a high level.
The Sprint team leads on critical projects including testing accommodations implementation, 12 : 1 planning, evaluation support, management of Evaluating Psychologists, and partnerships and escalations to DOE counterparts, among others.
The team will also provide excellent data support by ensuring that school-based constituencies leverage internal and external resources to accurately track their caseload and hold external parties accountable for moving through special education processes.
Key responsibilities include :
Supporting strong IEP resolution by managing SA relationship with DOE / CSE
CSE Escalations including developing vision & standard operating procedures (SOP) for CSE Escalations
Participate / lead coaching conversations with School teams and other Special Education personnel relating to CSE concerns (DNQs, Cases Closed, etc)
CSE Data Reporting
Develop Sprint teams’ ability to identify scholars in need of services, create compelling, data-driven narratives of need, and effectively advocate for services at IEP meetings
Own all tickets regarding CSE escalations / issues
Supporting strong IEP resolution through management of Evaluating Psychologists
As needed : end to end ownership of Evaluating Psychologist performance management, including :
Designing and implementing robust systems for feedback and accountability
Management against the Evaluating Psychologist Performance Evaluation Criteria and Sprint initiatives and KPIs that relate to Evaluating Psychologists
Implementing process for middle and end of year reviews
Supporting with ongoing performance concerns
As needed : end to end management of Psychoeducational Evaluation Reports, including :
Designing and implementing systems for psychoeducational evaluation requests from school Sprint and completion by Evaluating Psychologists
Quality control for Psychoeducational Evaluation Reports
Pyschoeducational evaluation inventory management
Support strong IEP resolution by managing high needs cases
Liaising with School Managers and Senior Leaders for high needs scholar cases at schools
Provide support and guidance to school teams in engaging parents throughout the special education process, addressing their concerns, and fostering positive relationships.
Training & development of school-based Sprint teams on the areas outlined above as well as general Special Education areas
Own all tickets regarding the responsibilities outlined above
Partnership on all team-based tasks (DOE Invoice, School System & Documentation audits, team training and development, etc.)
A successful applicant will have the following experiences and education :
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 4 years of experience in field of education
Experience directly managing a team, including holding performance reviews
Experience laterally managing key stakeholders
