Red Cedar Capital Partners LLC is a residential developer and homebuilder in Charlotte, NC &

surrounding markets. Red Cedar is the parent company of Red Cedar Construction, Red Cedar Homes, Red Cedar Development, and Red Cedar Realty, as well as a private label mortgage company and homebuilding supply company, all of which support the Red Cedar ecosystem.

The primary focus of the company is developing land into beautiful communities and building attainably priced homes that fit today's real estate market.

Red Cedar has grown exponentially since 2016 and is one of the fastest- growing homebuilders in the Southeast.

We are seeking an experienced leader for the role of Director of Business Development in Charlotte, North Carolina who thrives on driving revenue growth and expanding the market.

The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of market dynamics, build relationships and seize new

opportunities. We need a motivated candidate who is eager to grow with us.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of business development strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Identify and evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitive threats to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and other stakeholders to enhance business opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of potential projects and opportunities, from initial prospecting to deal closure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and execution of business development initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the business development team, including setting goals, mentoring team members, and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Organize networking sessions to explain the benefits of Red Cedar's JV programs, construction services and opportunities to partner with Red Cedar.

  • Investor relations- Once an investor or agent is committed to a Red Cedar program
  • Maintain communication between all parties
  • Act as a liaison between Red Cedar parties for investor updates
  • Conduct weekly or bi-weekly updates to investors or third parties and manage communication back to Red Cedar in an organized manner.
  • Organize weekly updates to the VP of Acquisitions and review all contracts and specs before sign off to insure accuracy to expectations
  • Identify opportunities for land sites or growth areas for Red Cedar's homebuilding business
  • Identify opportunities for the other Red Cedar partner companies (Evergreen & Maker and Lansing Electric)
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including sales targets, market share, and customer satisfaction, to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist with the implementation of processes that create operational efficiencies and reduce cost.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills, Traits & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a related role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Problem solver capable of independently finding solutions or working with team members when needed.
  • Must be a detail-oriented team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a heavy workload.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License and vehicle insurance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel preferred
  • Prior field experience preferred
  • Able to professionally perform multiple detail-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines

Job Type :

Full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week.

Salary : $90,000-$110,000

Ability to Commute / Relocate :

Charlotte, NC : Ability to reliably commute or willingness to relocate before starting work (Required).

Work Location :

In-person with some work from home availability

Work Environment :

Office-based environment with a business casual dress code. Standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines, are used in this role.

Physical Demands :

The role requires the ability to talk and hear, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Occasional lifting of office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds, may be necessary. Some travel might be required.
