Job Title : Heavy Equipment Operator
Job Description
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy machinery to excavate, backfill, and grade land in preparation for various civil and erosion control construction projects across the nation.
Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, and backhoes.
Lead crews in remote areas across the country.
Adhere to engineering designs and be proficient with blueprints.
Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
Communicate effectively with sub vendors on site.
Essential Skills
Experience in operating heavy construction equipment.
Ability to lead crews in remote areas.
Proficiency in reading and adhering to engineering designs and blueprints.
5-10+ years' experience working in the oil and gas industry.
10+ years' experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Ability to pass DOT requirements.
Ability to travel extensively, sometimes for months at a time.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in the pipeline / oil and gas / petroleum industry.
Experience in an engineering / design construction capacity for pipeline projects.
NCCER certification.
Veriforce certification.

Work Environment
You will work in a 4-5 person team including a superintendent / operator, foreman, and laborers. Work locations can span across the country from California to New York and everywhere in between, requiring extensive travel.

This is a Contract to Hire position requires travel across the US.
