The Head of Engineering will spearhead our efforts to conceptualize, construct, implement, and expand cutting-edge digital platforms on a global scale, aimed at enhancing patient and customer outcomes.
Our goal is to deliver a consistently exceptional experience for patients and customers worldwide, fostering trust as the foremost digital health ecosystem for out-of-hospital care.
Reporting to our SaaS CTO, this pivotal role involves leadership and ownership of R&D for our entire product portfolio, emphasizing out-of-hospital care and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
The role necessitates active participation in strategic technology and business dialogues, advocating for leading-edge technology and domain practices.
This multifaceted position blends people leadership, technical proficiency, and business acumen to ensure strategic investments, maximize value, and establish scalability across the entire enterprise.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will provide guidance and alignment with Product Management, Customer Support, Professional Services, Platform teams, overseeing budget, roadmaps, timelines, and overall team execution.

Let's talk about the role
- Demonstrate authentic leadership, fostering empathy, and responsible stewardship of company resources
- Lead the modernization of legacy products, technology, and cultural shifts
- Champion technology adoption, including AI (ML and GenAI), Cloud, and DevOps
- Oversee public cloud migration and encourage innovation in application architecture, infrastructure, and deployment strategies using AI
- Collaborate as a thought partner with the Head of Product Management to shape the vision and product roadmap
- Work with other engineering leaders to drive cohesion, standards, and best practices across ResMed
- Coach, develop, and lead a diverse global team of 140+ engineers and leaders, considering the geographical dispersion of the team
Let's talk about you
- An Engineering Degree - B.E. / B.Tech. / M.Tech. / Ph.D. in any stream Computer Science, Data Science preferred
- 10+ years of professional development and engineering experience
- A strong product mindset
- Ability to scale across multiple product lines
- Core software engineering background with up-to-date technological expertise. Extensive experience in modernization, cloud migration, and native cloud service development
- Knowledge and experience in ML, with an inherent affinity for data-driven products
- Comfortable communicating effectively at all organizational levels, both verbally and in writing
- Empathetic and effective as a change agent
- Direct line management responsibilities for global teams, including coaching, hiring and performance management
- Financial accountability for managing budget forecasts and actuals
- Must have the legal right to work in the U.S

Employees accrue three weeks Paid Time Off (PTO) in their first year of employment, receive 11 paid holidays plus 3 floating days and are eligible for 14 weeks of primary caregiver or two weeks of secondary caregiver leave when welcoming new family members.
Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
This role is eligible to receive an annual cash bonus payment based on company, business unit, and / or individual performance.
Base Pay Range for this position :
$193,000 - $289,000
