Position Summary :
The Client Service Advisor works alongside the Lead Advisor to support clients in achieving their financial goals. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing client relationships, addressing service-related inquiries, and ensuring that clients receive timely and effective communication.
The Client Service Advisor is a critical part of the team, helping to prepare for client meetings, manage client data, and ensure the smooth implementation of financial plans and strategies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Client Relationship Management :
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, providing prompt and efficient responses to service requests.
Assist with onboarding new clients and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
- Meeting Preparation and Follow-Up :
- Assist in preparing for client meetings, including generating reports, reviewing client portfolios, and assembling financial documents.
Handle follow-up tasks and ensure all client action items are addressed in a timely manner.
- Financial Plan and Portfolio Support :
- Gather and input client financial data into planning software. Assist in preparing and updating financial plans, including investment strategy modeling and retirement income projections.
Execute trades, rebalance portfolios, and assist with tax-loss harvesting.
- Research and Recommendations :
- Conduct research on investment products, financial strategies, and market trends. Assist Lead Advisor in preparing client recommendations and presentations.
- Administrative Support :
- Ensure client paperwork is accurate and compliant. Maintain organized client files, manage CRM data, and complete necessary documentation for account transfers, applications, and investment changes.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in financial services or investment management preferred, but not necessary.
- Series 7 and 66 (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Proficiency with appropriate financial software (e.g., eMoney, CRM systems).
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting while also being self-directed and proactive.
Preferred Skills :
- CFP® designation (or working towards it).
- Experience with portfolio management, investment research, and client reporting.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements in financial services.
