POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking Archaeological Field Technicians with our Cultural Resources team in Albuquerque. This is a part-time / as-needed position with the opportunity for full-time employment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - TASKS
- The Archaeological Field Technician will work closely with other TRC archaeologists, environmental staff, permitting specialists, and managers in TRC's Planning, Permitting, and Licensing (PPL) practice.
- We are seeking professionals enthusiastic about his / her work with a strong commitment to client service and technical excellence.
The successful candidate will enjoy the challenges of working alongside others in a fast-paced environment while helping to develop effective solutions to both expected and unexpected project challenges.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- One or more years of progressive experience with archaeological survey and excavation projects in New Mexico or adjoining states
- Experience in environmental monitoring including cultural, biological, SWPPP highly desired
- Excellent interpersonal communication and management skills
- Familiarity with digital field technology (GPS, tablets, total station, and GIS applications and software (Collector, Fulcrum)
- A commitment to quality and safety
- Will be required to walk long distances, and perform physically demanding tasks in varying environments and conditions (.
steep terrain, heat, cold)
- Will require travel away from the home office location
- No relocation offered for this position, seeking local candidates only
- Candidates are required to successfully pass a drug test prior to employment or within five working days from date of hire in addition to a pre-employment background check, physical and motor vehicle records check
