Job Summary / Primary Purpose : Provide a wide variety of support functions to assist with hosting Events functions at Western Plains Camp.
Duties are wide ranging and may include food and drink preparation, set-up, effective and efficient delivery of services during events, and clean up and finalization of events as directed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provides on-site support for events, ensuring proper execution in set-up and clean-up.
- Aids in food preparation and serving as needed.
- Sets up chairs, tables, decorations, or other equipment.
- Maintains all equipment and facilities in an organized, clean, and safe environment.
- Fosters a positive working relationship with all outside agencies, and vendors.
- Works in a team environment and assists in a variety of areas.
- Follows and ensures adherence to The Salvation Army Policies and Procedures.
- Interacts professionally in all contact, as required, with the public, business community, and Salvation Army Officers and staff.
- Works flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- All other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities : None.
Education and / or Experience : Guest services or similar experience is preferred.

- Ability to be flexible and able to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
- Good communication skills both written and spoken, and ability to maintain effective working relationships.
- Basic computer knowledge needed to access time clock and personal information via a web-based system.
Other Qualifications : Must pass all applicable background checks.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations : Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training as established by The Salvation Army.

Working Conditions : Must be able to work in a variety of environments including but not limited to darkened rooms, around crowds, loud noises, and small spaces.
