PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT
POSITION SUMMARY :
Under direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist , the Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for providing established physical therapy treatments and modalities in accordance with established policies and procedures, maintaining the highest degree of patient care at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an APTA accredited program.
- Must hold a current state license and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the Board of Physical Therapy
- Long term acute care and rehabilitation experience is preferred;
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills.
- Basic computer skills with minimal guidance

Physical :
- Walking - up to 75%

- Squatting - up to 50%

- Lifting - up to 100lbs

EXPOSURE RISK :
Category I - Jobs in which required tasks routinely involve a potential for mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, tissues or potential spills or splashes.
Use of appropriate measures is required for every healthcare provider in these jobs.

Beds, scales, lifts, tilt tables, hydrocollator, cold packs, ADL equipment / assistive devices, orthotics, splints, prosthetics, B / P cuff, stethoscope, pulse oximeter, telephone, facsimile machine, copier, printers, computers
