Job Summary : We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and self-motivated Project Manager for New Machine Sales based in our Minneapolis, MN facility.
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing customer orders and ensuring deliverables related to the projects which are to be managed in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
This position is responsible for acting to achieve all profit, time, quality, and customer satisfaction objectives, and are the first point of contact for assigned customer orders.
The Project Manager will manage all assigned project from the time the order is accepted / approved through installation.
They will be engaged in the business by actively participating in company events, training, education, and Lean Manufacturing.
General Responsibilities
- Works closely with Sales, Applications, and external customers to confirm project and order specifics.
- Leads a project after it has been approved financially and technically, including managing regular process and progress reviews.
- Ensures that all projects are properly documented and have been reviewed and agreed upon by all appropriate stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Procurement, Logistics, and Operations).
- Resolves and / or assists in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional groups.
- Ensures that suitable risk assessment and contingency planning takes place, is communicated, and agreed upon by all stakeholders, and is acted on if necessary, to keep the project on track, or accelerates the project if needed.
- Leads cross-functional projects in the fulfilment process of customer orders.
- Leads regular project team meetings.
- Manages project scope and change orders.
- Manages project budget, margin, and financial estimates.
- Manages 3rd party scheduling deliverables in conjunction with team members and customers as needed.
- Evaluates the performance of a project and recommends improvements or recognition opportunities.
- Communicates project status weekly (or more frequently if required) through maintenance of the project schedule and participates in regularly scheduled Mission Control Room and production meetings.
- Manages project scope to stay within what is described in the work order.
- Documents scheduled milestones as developed by the order fulfilment team.
- Hosts customer visits for project planning and acceptance testing.

The following competencies will differentiate top candidates :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or similar field or, professional qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline, or an ability to demonstrate the necessary work experience.
- 5 years of experience in leading cross functional teams, providing strategic direction within a manufacturing operation.
- PMP or related project management certification is a plus.
- Extensive understanding of : Q.A. / Compliance, production scheduling / planning, procurement, manufacturing processes (packaging / labeling, warehousing, and logistics) and, project planning.
- Prior experience in Lean Manufacturing is beneficial.
Skills and Ability :

Language Ability :

- Ability to speak multiple languages is beneficial.
Computer Skills :
- Advanced MS Office / project planning tools.
- Infor XA data management system experience preferred.
- Smartsheet knowledge preferred.
ADA Requirements :
- Typically sits, grasps items, and performs keyboarding for regular operation of a computer.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about regularly.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
