POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager will oversee receiving, shipping, warehousing and logistics operations. The position is responsible for planning manpower, optimizing warehouse layout, defining SOPs, managing daily material movement and directing and training personnel.
Key accountabilities are accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role will ensure compliance to proper ERP and ISO procedures and will work with Finance, Supply Chain and Operations leaders to ensure a complete and accurate accounting of inventory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and manage all warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, logistics and materials management.
Establish and enforce standards and protocols to maintain a safe and healthy work environment that is compliant with legal regulations, including OSHA.
Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and resources.
Own the physical condition of warehousing equipment through routine inspection; manage requests for necessary repair and replacement.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth material flow through the facility and on-time shipment of customer product.
Lead the team in utilizing ERP system to accurately track material movement and consumption in production; drive RCCM for inventory discrepancies and perform routine cycle counts
Maintain and organize physical stocking locations as needed for efficiency in picking orders, performing inventories, and cycle counts
Ensure shipments are completed following proper protocols; maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound shipments.
Determine and manage manpower levels and assignments based on projected volume to ensure adequate staffing levels / skill sets
Develop an efficient work organization through team building with effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication.
Development and tracking of Warehouse KPIs. Analysis of KPI results to define operational performance.
Additional duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct Supervision of Shipping / Receiving, Logistics, and Material Handling / Warehousing.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree
5+ years of work experience in warehousing with at least 3 in a supervisory capacity
2+ years of experience with logistics and international shipments
Prior experience with storage racking and pallet systems required
Forklift certification required
Proficient with Microsoft packages, including Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook and experience using an institutional ERP / database system; JDE experience a plus.
