BLS Specialty Vascular sonographer one of these certifications : VS (Vascular Sonographer)RVT (Registered Vascular Tech)How many scanners / rooms does this dept have12 total scanning rooms combined Will they have to float / cover any other areasNo float coverage Common types of imaging / studies performed & Job DutiesVascular sonographer would be doing all types of vascular imaging this is a vascular dedicated lab Experience or 'Must have' skillsVascular dedicated vascular sonographer capable of performing all types of vascular studies Average # of studies per dayVascular- depending on the study, most are 45 minute slots, some testing requires 2-45 minute slots EMR & / or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System : software & hardware) do they useEMR- EPIC Reporting system for echo is ISCV and Medstreaming for vascular Department Specific EquipmentPhilips Epiq 7 and GE Vivid E95 for echo GE Logiq 10 for vascular and US vascular Vasculab Radiology Supervisor or Lead TechLead echo sonographer and Lead vascular sonographer Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants) noRadiologist in-house N / A Do they have to start IV's (if applicable to the department)If they have IV skills it is beneficial for adult echo sonographer not a requirement Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling Block scheduling)Day shift either 5- 8 hour shifts 8-430 or 4-10 hour shifts 7-530 depending on need of the lab.
