The General Superintendent oversees all field Superintendents directng every aspect of the project including safety, scheduling, and financials.

The client is local to the Denver metro area and has been completing construction projects across the commercial, federal, and civil construction markets for nearly 10 years.

Description

The General Superintendent is responsible for :

  • Project Oversight : Manage and oversee all field operations on multiple construction sites to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Safety Management : Enforce safety policies and ensure all employees and subcontractors adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols to minimize risk and prevent accidents.
  • Subcontractor Coordination : Oversee and manage the work of subcontractors, ensuring quality control and adherence to project specifications and deadlines.
  • Quality Control : Monitor all construction activities to ensure compliance with architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact between field operations, project managers, and clients, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and changes.
  • Resource Management : Coordinate and manage resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, ensuring efficient utilization and minimizing downtime.
  • Site Inspections : Conduct regular site walks and inspections to ensure work is being performed correctly and address any safety, quality, or productivity concerns.
  • Document Management : Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, RFIs (Request for Information), change orders, and other project documentation.
  • Budget Management : Work with project managers to monitor and control project costs, identifying areas where cost-saving measures can be implemented without sacrificing quality.
  • Client Relations : Collaborate with clients to ensure their expectations are met and address any concerns that arise during the course of the project.
  • Post-Project Review : Lead post-construction closeout activities, ensuring proper project documentation, punch list completion, and a smooth handover to the client.

Profile

The Ideal General Superintendent :

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Computer skills, Procore, Bluebeam, MS Projects, MS Office
  • Experience scheduling construction projects
  • OSHA 30 Certification Required
  • 15+ years of experience in a Superintendent role
