Our Associate Dual Language Immersion Teachers play a key role in our Montessori classrooms, cultivating high quality learning opportunities for infants, toddlers, preschool and Kindergarten aged students (birth through 6 years old).
Dual Language Immersion teachers speak Spanish throughout the day with the students and conduct lessons under the direction of a trained Montessori teacher.
This is a full-time position as a member of a teaching team to deliver on our mission to develop a lifelong love of learning in our students , while exposing students to the Spanish language.
Associate Responsibilities
- Play a supporting role in the classroom under the direction of trained, Montessori teachers and work amongst a team of teachers;
- Speak the Spanish language throughout the day to provide a dual-language experience for students and create and implement Spanish lessons with students in accordance with the Montessori philosophy;
- Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy classroom environment;
- Provide basic care and active supervision of young children as needed;
- Engage in positive redirection to children and maintain a positive learning environment;
- Communicate with parents as needed on routine matters regarding the health, and care of students.
Associate Requirements
- 21 years of age or older
- Native or fluent Spanish speaker
- Minimum Required : CDA or Associate's Degree, or some college coursework
- Preferred : Bachelor's degree in a related field (Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Development)
