Database Administrator

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Database Administrator with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ.

This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities :

• Administer database user permissions, and privileges in accordance with application and database requirements
• Expand self service capabilities due to database migrations / new builds
• Perform database upgrades / migrations to reduce Not-Permitted technology footprint while ensuring optimal performance and security
• Utilize SQL Server Always On Availability Groups to maintain high availability / disaster recovery solutions
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize database designs and queries
• Monitor / Maintain database performance
• Troubleshoot / resolve database issues, providing timely and effective solutions

Requirements :

• SQL Server 2014 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022 Database Administration
• Always On Administration
• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) / Reporting Services (SSRS) Configuration
• Strong analytical / troubleshooting, and database tuning skills
• Strong Communication Skills
Desired skills :
• PowerShell
• PowerShell
