POSITION SUMMARY :
Machines parts according to specifications for assemblies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Reads and interprets blueprints and drawings to machine parts.
- Sets-up and operates conventional and CNC machines.
- Reworks molds and tools damaged in production.
- Completes related paperwork.
- Maintains a safe working environment.
- Builds / repairs parts and makes repair parts for maintenance.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Supports and helps co-workers as needed.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
- Minimum of 2 years machine shop experience.
- Mathematical skills (addition / subtraction, multiplication / division, geometry, trigonometry).
- Basic knowledge of weights, measures and metric conversions.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged standing.
- Lifting up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Frequent bending, stooping, pushing and pulling.
