Logistics Pricing Analyst (EM6728-4)

The Logistics Pricing Analyst is responsible for analyzing the current market conditions and economic situations, continuously evaluating the efficiency of the surface transportation sector's internal cost route by route.
Leveraging this analysis, the analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing transportation pricing strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency in our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities :
1) Transportation Data Analytics :
Conduct internal and external transportation data analytics and cost research to support carrier negotiation.
Analyze current market conditions and economic situations to evaluate the efficiency of surface transportation routes.
2) Market Analysis Reporting :
Author and report weekly market analysis reports to management regarding buying / selling prices of major routes by transportation modes.
Collect key information from partner companies to provide management with strategic insights.
3) Global Logistics Reporting :
Maintain and update monthly global logistics reports related to operations and finances.
Provide recommendations based on data analysis and research to optimize logistics strategies.
4) RFQ Data Analysis and Sourcing :
Conduct internal and external RFQ data analysis and cost research for freight forwarder / carrier sourcing.
Obtain quotes from different suppliers and negotiate price, quantity, terms, and conditions with freight forwarders, ocean / intermodal drayage carriers.
5) Contract Administration :
Work with the legal team to ensure all conditions regarding the business are met in the contract.
Administer the company’s internal procurement system during the sourcing process.
6) Supplier Evaluation and Comparison :
Evaluate suppliers’ quotes and compile a detailed assessment of cost element breakdowns.
Maintain quote comparison with financial simulation and provide data for freight forwarder / carrier selection.
7) Advanced Analytical Tools and Methods :
Utilize advanced analytical tools (MS BI, Tableau, etc.) and methods to process large and complex datasets related to bidding.
Develop and implement statistical models, scenarios, and visualized charts to support decision-making and optimization of transportation processes and operations.
8) Data Quality Assurance and Visualization :
Perform data quality checks, data cleansing, and data visualization to ensure accuracy and reliability of data and reports.
Apply advanced statistical methods (regression, clustering, forecasting, etc.) to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in logistics data and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
9) Cross-functional Collaboration :
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business needs, define analytical problems, and communicate findings and solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related field.
7+ years of experience as a Logistics Analyst or a similar role, demonstrating progressively increasing responsibilities and accomplishments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel, with the ability to manipulate large datasets and create complex reports.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights to improve logistics operations.
Using advanced analytical tools (MS BI, Tableau, ETC)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders at all levels.
Comfortable working with tables, charts, and numbers to present findings and recommendations.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Willingness to work additional hours outside of regularly scheduled business hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs.
Travel % : up to 30 % of Travel in US
